JEWELRY SIZE GUIDE

NECKLACE SIZE GUIDE

Find the right necklace length and width for your preferred fit.
The appearance of a gold chain is determined not only by its design, but also by its length, width, weight and the proportions of the person wearing it.

WHICH CHAIN LENGTH SHOULD I CHOOSE?

40 cm
A short, close-fitting length that usually sits around the base of the neck. Best suited to delicate chains and smaller neck sizes.

45 cm
A classic short necklace length. It normally sits near the collarbone and works well worn alone or with a small pendant.

50 cm
The most versatile everyday length. It sits slightly below the collarbone and is suitable for many women and men.

55 cm
A more relaxed, lower fit. This length works particularly well for broader necks, unisex styling and medium-width chains.

60 cm
A long necklace length that sits around the upper chest. It is suited to larger pendants, layering and a more prominent look.

WHICH CHAIN WIDTH SHOULD I CHOOSE?

Under 1 mm
Very fine and delicate. Best suited to subtle styling and lightweight pendants.

1–2 mm
Minimal and versatile. Suitable for everyday wear, worn alone or with a pendant.

2–3 mm
Noticeably more substantial while still remaining refined. A strong unisex choice.

3–5 mm
Bold and clearly visible. Best worn as a standalone chain.

Over 5 mm
A statement width with a strong visual presence.

HOW DOES BODY SIZE AFFECT THE FIT?

The same necklace length may sit differently depending on neck circumference, shoulder width and body proportions. A 50 cm chain generally sits higher on a broad neck than on a narrow neck. For a lower fit, choose the next available length.

WHICH LENGTH IS BEST FOR LAYERING?

For balanced layering, combine chains with a difference of approximately 5 cm. Popular combinations include 45 cm with 50 cm, or 50 cm with 55 cm.

HOW DO I MEASURE THE RIGHT LENGTH?

Place a measuring tape or string around your neck at the point where you want the chain to sit. Measure the string and compare the result with the available necklace lengths. For a looser fit, add approximately 5 cm.

WHY WE SHOW THE GOLD WEIGHT?

Two gold chains can look similar while containing very different amounts of gold. Width alone does not tell you how substantial or valuable a chain is.

That is why NTHIRTYTHREE displays the approximate weight of every available gold jewelry variant wherever possible. Together with the length, width and 585 fineness, this allows you to compare the actual material content more clearly.

Every NTHIRTYTHREE 14K gold piece is crafted in Italy from certified 585 gold and delivered with a certificate of authenticity.
